Abstract

This business venture proposal is aimed at addressing inefficiencies that occur during the Site Acquisition application processes and the provision of telecommunication sites to telecommunication companies. Access to suitable sites in ideal locations, is a challenge in South Africa. This hinders growth and development for telecommunication infrastructur, particularly with 5G rollout. Few property owners are willing to release their properties to accommodate telecommunication’s infrastructure. This causes a huge hindrance to the deployment of sites in prime locations. Furthermore, application processes for energizing the acquired sites are lengthy, since the processes are dependent on power utilities’ internal procedures, as well as lack of existing infrastructure required to energize sites. This project proposal will address inefficiencies in acquiring sites, and possible collaborative methods required to create win-win solutions for all stakeholders within the acquisition value chain.
