dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the utilization of emerging technologies to enhance talent management practices within the South African telecommunications industry. The rapid evolution of technology presents both opportunities and challenges for Talent Management practitioners specifically in the field of talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention. This requires organisations to leverage of a mixed- methods approach that integrates technology into their Talent Management processes. Through semi-structured interviews targeted at Talent practitioners in the Telecommunications industry, This study investigates the utilization of emerging technologies to augment Talent Management practices within the Telecommunications industry in South Africa. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics, organizations can optimize talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, thereby gaining a competitive edge in the dynamic market landscape. The findings of this study contribute to the understanding of how South African Telecommunications companies can harness the power of the technology at their disposal by leveraging of emerging technologies to optimize talent management practices, enhance organizational performance, and maintain competitiveness in the digital age. In conclusion, the findings of this research underscore the transformative potential of emerging technologies in revolutionizing Talent Management within the Telecommunications sector of South Africa. Through strategic adoption and integration of these technologies, organizations can not only address current talent challenges but also proactively prepare for future workforce demands, ensuring sustained growth and success in the ever-evolving industry landscape
