Abstract

This study represented a preliminary attemp to develop and evaluate an artificial intelligence-supported instructional design system. The system was intended to guide novice instructional designers employed by a maJor South AfriCan banKing group, through the instructional design process. The system consisted of an expert system providing rommendations in three area namely training needs analysis, instructional method selection and instructional media selection qualitative evaluation Of the system was conducted using a case study approach.
