dc.description.abstract | Integrated Development Planning is one of the key tools in assisting local government to cope with its new developmental role. In contrast to the role planning has played in the past, integrated development planning is now seen as a function of municipal management, as part of an integrated system of planning and delivery. The purpose of the research was to assess the extent to which integrated development planning has assisted Dipaleseng Local Municipality in delivering of water and sanitation services. One of the main findings of the research was that plans and strategies are in place to address key developmental challenges faced by the municipality. It was also established that the municipality cannot still afford its share of the capital works costs due to the small tax and revenue base | en_US |
