Studies were carried out on muscle specimens from patients with various neuromuscular disorders, including malignant hyperthermia carriers , in order to determine the value of muscle tension tests in the diagnosis of malignant hyperthermia. I t was found that when the results of muscle tension studies were considered together with those of other tests, this technique facilitate d the detection of malignant hyperthermia carriers . When used alone, however, the study of muscle tension could not be regarded as infallibly predictive .en_ZA
