Telecommuting work arrangements have become a universal norm since the advent of COVID-19 in 2020. Many research studies have made findings related to the benefits and challenges faced by employees during COVID-19 and after COVID-19. The purpose of the research study was to explore the perceptions and experiences of employees and management of a state entity in Tshwane, namely Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, regarding the implementation of telecommuting work arrangements during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The qualitative single case study design was implemented. Herzberg’s two factor theory was the theory underpinning this study. Fifteen participants were purposively selected. Data were gathered by conducting semi-structured interviews with participants via Microsoft Teams. Thematic analysis was used to analyse data collected. Findings reveal that employees and managers experienced many challenges during COVID- 19. Although telecommuting work arrangements have improved, there are still challenges that need to be addressed, such as manager-employee work relationships, health and well- being of employees and telecommuting arrangements work arrangements. Based on research findings significant recommendations were made including, attention should be given to the health and well-being of employees, amendments should be made to the telecommuting work policy by providing clear guidelines and responsibilities for employees, the drawing up of a manager-employee work contract, provide updated telecommuting appliances and ensure that ongoing training is provided
