dc.description.abstract | Abstract Organisations and institutions are means of getting things done through individuals who are employed in them. When individuals are brought together as a team to work efficiently under good leadership, it constitutes human resource management. The purpose of the study was to examine Human resource management practices in State Owned Enterprises in Ghana using the Ghana Post Company with emphasis on recruitment and selection, and pay and remuneration. The qualitative method was employed for the study. Evidence from the study point out that situational factors influence the human resource management practices in State Owned Enterprises in Ghana especially the Ghana Post Company.
