The project deals with the Important role of mobile radio communications in business. A review of the remarkable growth of mobile radio use in recent years is followed by a discussion of its economic potential, aa one of the communication means of commercial companies, to iaprove efficiency and reduce costs. Four quantitative studies estimate the economic benefits that the business sector and the Post Office derive from using typical radio systems. Explanations about radio frequency spectrum management lead to estimating spectrum value and suggesting pricing the spectrum as a solution to moderate its congestion. Basic concepts about radio equipment and systems are the introduction to discussions of four fields where advanced techniques are employed to alleviate spectrum scarcity; channel bandwidth efficiency, utilization of air-time, traffic throughput and frequency re-use. The implementation of a complex system is reviewed, where the above knowledge and system engineering techniques were applied.en_ZA
