This thesis poignantly instils a holistic transdisciplinary approach to postgraduate education as an empowering and unifying community intervention on the Frankenwald estate near Alexandra township. Connecting the origins of learning and the future evolution of knowledge by supporting students through their educational experience, with a transdisciplinary experiential approach which fosters individuality, innovation and compassion. Dissolving the rigidly entrenched divisions between schools of thought through the balanced use of social and technological tools, a platform for innovation and financial freedom within closely knit community interactions. Inspired by fractal geometry and organic structures, the scheme roots itself into its local context by creating nodes of catalytic urban renewal which ultimately dissolves all orthodox boundaries between the conventional university and the localised community in which it serves.en_ZA
