dc.description.abstract2017 marks years since the Marist Brothers' Foundation, 150 years of Marist Brothers' presence in South Africa and, 128 years in the life of one of its schools, Sacred Heart College (SHC). In that time SHC has seen a significant amount of transformation. Formerly located in Dooenfontein, the Observatory situeted school's buildings have been developed over the years and is no longer a boarding school for (predominantly) Christian white boys.
