Respect in retrospect : a Mossel Bay interpretation centre reconnecting us with our deep past

Abstract

Archaeological remains have aided researchers and scientists for centuries to develop an understanding of where the human species has evolved from. Through these understandings, a narrative of humanity is purported and through emotions found beneath these material findings, a great expression of sophisticated thinking transcends. The proposed design of the Pinnacle Point Interpretation Centre aims to be a fully inclusive and accessible space allowing people to reconnect with the deep past. By looking at our ancestors for insight and inspiration we can begin to adopt ways to sustain our fleeting future.
