Residence in Parktown, 1902. A good example of the late Victorian house, built on a large scale in south Africa, from 1890 to 1905. Foundations and plinths are of stone, while red brick was contrasted with white wooden werandah pillars and parapet railings in stock geometric patterns. Other features include sliding sash windows, these being crowned with finials.en_US
