February, 2018My rationale for selecting this research question is specifically due to the current decline of the Boko Haram insurgency within Northern Nigeria and how this has come about, as well as why people have in the past resorted to such unprecedented violence and today are finding another avenue in order to move forward. This research paper will help me further my understanding as to the reasons why Boko Haram had such an ambitious and destructive rise and today are slowly starting to lose their grip.
