In this study, an assumption is made that the successful management EG&DP require a balanced interaction between policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. In the North West Province, the adopted policy management arrangements showed steady progress towards the achievement the set EG&DP targets yet the Province did not achieve those targets. One of the main findings of the research is that the approach by the NWPG is not comprehensive enough to deal with challenge of managing public policy.
